Risa’s unique legal practice focuses on the intersections between trade law, environmental law and Indigenous rights.
Her clientele includes First Nations advocacy organizations and Tribal Councils. She is the ‘go to’ person on the international trade and the rights of Indigenous peoples.
Risa is the author of Toward a Trade and Indigenous Peoples’ Chapter in a Modernized NAFTA CIGI Paper No. 144 and is co-editing a forthcoming book with Professor John Borrows on Indigenous Peoples and International Trade.
